Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has set his sights on establishing another innovative company. This time around, Wozniak has co-founded Efforce, an energy savings company with headquarters in Malta.
Company Created with Jacopo Visetti
According to a recent report published in The Malta Independent, Wozniak has created the blockchain-powered company with Jacopo Visetti.
A quick look at Visetti’s LinkedIn profile revealed that he works in the environment and renewable energy sector. It also showed that Efforce was founded in January 2018.
Tokenized Energy Savings
Meanwhile, Efforce’s LinkedIn page proclaimed that it offers the first and so-far only blockchain-powered platform that is devoted to energy efficiency. The company’s goal states that it wants to be known as the pioneering and one-of-a-kind platform for “tokenized energy savings” in the world.
The Malta Independent report stated that Wozniak recently discussed Efforce during the pre-launch activities for the Delta Summit, a blockchain forum held in Malta.
Wozniak said that he has always placed importance on energy efficiency and said the idea behind Efforce was to save money and energy but to also help the environment.
The American inventor also shared that he believes blockchain will prove to be beneficial in reducing the public’s impact on the environment without pressing for people to alter their lifestyle. He also touched on how the Maltese government’s pro-blockchain stance was the deciding factor in launching Efforce in Malta.
Wozniak has been quite enthusiastic in his support of blockchain technology. The inventor and entrepreneur is also the co-founder of venture capital firm EQUI Global. Wozniak developed this blockchain investment program to provide support for blockchain solutions.
