Marketing experts of the TRON Foundation are promoting BitTorrent tokens (BTT) to attract attention to the new cryptocurrency within their community. The foundation is launching a series of airdrops that contain BitTorrent tokens, a new cryptocurrency introduced for use on the BitTorrent platform that is taking the market by storm.
TRON Foundation founder Justin Sun announced the longest and largest airdrop in cryptocurrency history at his social media page. He reveals that TRX holders will benefit from the airdrop. The ratio of the airdropped BTT is 0.1097681177 BTT is equal to 1 TRX. A total of 990,000,000 BTT will be given starting from every 11th of the month until the year 2025. According to Sun, TRX holders must check their wallet and account to find out exactly how much BTT they received.
During Sun’s announcement, a lot of fake social media accounts are posing as BitTorrent. The TRON Foundation releases a warning against false reports. In what was expected to take 48 hours, the airdrop has distributed 10.8 billion BTTs in a matter of four hours. According to Sun, TRON’s blockchain played a massive part in speeding up the process.
The BTT Pump
Cryptocurrency market capitalization Coinmarketcap reveals that BTT rose to 11% USD pricing following the airdrop. BTT is also 12% against Bitcoin. Binance is currently holding over 50% of the exchanges on BTT, with UPbit being the most recent top fiat exchange by keeping 35% of the volume per day.
Tron, on the other hand, takes a dip after performing only 4.7%. Cryptocurrency markets pulled back, and TRX is now trading at $0.024. Tron was one of this year’s best-performing cryptocurrency assets together with Binance Coin and Litecoin.
