Gerben tweeted: “Nike has filed for a trademark application for CRYPTOKICKS. The filing indicates that Nike is intending to launch a cryptocurrency called CRYPTOKICKS”.

The Trademark
Gerben stated that it “appears to be a filing for a brand of a cryptocurrency” which will be “providing a digital currency or digital token for use by members of an online community”.
In the trademark, Nike states that it is interested in developing:
“Downloadable mobile applications for providing access to crypto-collectibles, crypto-art and application tokens…downloadable software and mobile applications using artificial intelligence.”
Nike NFT?
Any services or goods such as apps or software applications related to the filing would support the idea of a Nike cryptocurrency, suggests Gerben. It is rumored that Nike could potentially use a non-fungible token design to track the supply chain of their popular shoes.
